Trading activities at National Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain closed today (November 20) on the observance of Maharashtra legislative assembly elections. Traders are barred from trading in all market segments including equity, derivative, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB). The holiday also applies to instruments including capital markets, futures, and options.
As per the BSE calendar, there are 16 trading holidays in 2024 of which 14 have already been observed. The upcoming stock market holiday will be observed on 25 December.

Step 3 - Click on the 'Holidays' option under the 'Exchange communication' section
During Tuesday's trading session, Nifty gained by 64.70 points or 0.28% to settle at 23,518.50, while Sensex rose by 0.31% or 239 points to settle at 77,578.38.
